D.J. Kirkbride Is Coming To LBCE!

D.J. Kirkbride co-wrote and co-created the acclaimed fantasy adventure series AMELIA COLE, an ongoing series published digitally by Monkeybrain Comics via ComiXology and in print courtesy of IDW Publishing. He wrote the cosmic space opera THE BIGGER BANG and its sequel THE BIGGEST BANG, both from IDW. He also co-wrote the Dark Horse Comics superhero mini-series NEVER ENDING and the DARK HORSE PRESENTS feature “Laser Joan and the Rayguns.” March 2017 will see the debut of his latest creation with AMELIA COLE collaborators Adam P. Knave and Nick Brokenshire: THE ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN, a 21st century update of Arthurian legend from Dark Horse Comics.

Long Beach Comic Expo – Feb 20 & 21

That’s right! I’ll be a writer in artist alley at this year’s LONG BEACH COMIC EXPO on February 20th & 21st, selling and signing copies of all four IDW volumes of AMELIA COLE, THE BIGGER BANG issues 1 – 4 (plus the snazzy trade collection), and the Dark Horse NEVER ENDING trade paperback.

Description of Panel: Playing in others’ sandboxes is fun, but sometimes doing your own thing can be just as fulfilling. Join Jimmy Palmiotti (Painkiller Jane, Hype), Tony Donley (Albert Einstein: Time Mason), D.J. Kirkbride (Amelia Cole, Popgun Anthology from Image Comics), and Megan Hutchison (The Aurora Grimeon Stories) to talk about why creating their own work is necessary as well as rewarding. Moderated by Marcus Perry (co-creator of Albert Einstein: Time Mason and Descendant from Image Comics).

I couldn’t get a table, so I sneaking in thanks to the Eat/Geek/Play‘s Kevin Knight, who I appreciate so much I make sure to spell his name correctly!

I’ll be at their table from 10am to 12pm selling and signing copies of AMELIA COLE AND THE HIDDEN WAR and NEVER ENDING — plus I have a few AMELIA COLE T-Shirts left in stock!

Then at 4 it’s off to their epic “Geeks Against Humanity” game! Should be something!
