ERRAND BOYS
DEC210419

(W) D.J. Kirkbride (A/CA) Nikos Koutsis

In the future, a decent job is hard to find-especially if you’re a hard-worn scoundrel with commitment issues. Jace is a lifelong solo act running dangerous errands for the most questionable of clients. But when his thirteen-year-old half-human half-brother comes to live with him, he’s got two mouths to feed. Between evading the law, running from aliens, and jumping off skyscrapers, the only thing weirder than the vastness of space is family.

Collects the entire run of the comic book series Errand Boys plus new extras for the first time!

ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN team reunites in HEAVY METAL #297!

This is exciting to finally be able to share! Adam P. Knave, Nick Brokenshire, Frank Cvetkovic, and I have a lil’ post-apocalyptic holiday story in issue 297 of the famed anthology comic magazine HEAVY METAL! Not only is it great to be part of the legacy that is HEAVY METAL, but it also reunites THE ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN creative team, even original editor and series champion Hannah Means-Shannon, who is an editor/bigwig at HEAVY METAL.

The comic is called “Urban Developments,” and we had a lot of fun working on it. You can find a preview of it and the other stories in the issue by clicking here and/or the image below…

Preorder it from your local comic shop, bookstore, or wherever you buy HEAVY METAL!

ERRAND BOYS is my “new” comic!

Heroes, I’ve done a terrible jobs of updating this website aside from randomly updating the header at some point. Seriously, the FOURTH issue of my FIVE-issue Image Comics mini-series ERRAND BOYS is out next week, and I’ve yet to mention the comic on my website. No wonder it’s so far under the radar the radar isn’t sure it exists! It’s maybe my favorite comic I’ve written, though, and I sure would love if folks would read it!

It’s really real…

THE ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN trade exists, dear readers, and it looks great! If you read issues 1 & 2, here is your chance to get the next three chapters. If you missed 1 & 2, this is the whole shebang– complete with some of Nick’s development sketches and our original pitch. It’s out in comic shops November 1 and available for pre-order now from your local comic shop, bookstore, or online retailer now!

The Future of THE ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN

If you’ve enjoyed issues 1 and 2 of The Once and Future Queen and are eagerly awaiting issue 3 (not to mention 4 and 5), we have some news you’ll want to read (from co-writer/co-creator Adam P. Knave’s site)…

Hey! I heard you have some really important news about The Once and Future Queen? We do. We do.

What has happened? Issues #3, #4, and #5 of The Once and Future Queen have been cancelled, in print and digital. But there will still be a trade collection of the full series released in November. You can order it by clicking here, right now, in fact.

Why did this happen? The comic industry is a fickle thing. The Once and Future Queen was well received by press and its readers, and while it was growing in market awareness, print efforts have been shifted to the book market so we can grow and reach our target audience.

So you guys failed then? The hell you say! We crafted a story that we are deeply proud of, that everyone involved is deeply proud of, and that will see the light of day come November.

Anything else we should know? Eat your veggies. No, seriously. This happened fast, and we’re letting you know as soon as we could. Thank you to everyone who picked up issues #1 and #2 and enjoyed them. We won’t let you down. This story has been an amazingly good time to create, and we want you to have the same good time reading it. Also, you know, some of the stuff you’ll see in the trade: the Gwen/Rani/Lance stuff people think they know where that’s going and y’all are wrong so far, which is delightful. Bigger plot things going on. It’s exciting, it’s fun, and we stand behind it every step of the way. So yeah, thank you guys!  And don’t forget to order The Once and Future Queen trade paperback at Darkhorse.com, Amazon.com, or Barnes and Noble!

Love and Tattoo swords,
